How many calories can I eat if I am trying to lose weight?
I ate about a 1100 calories today. I worked off 215 calories at the gym, so I ate about 975 calories. I’m not including the good calories, though. Only the calories from fat. Can anyone tell me how many calories I should eat, if I want to lose weight.
P.S
I promise I’m not one over those overly obssesed weight people, so please don’t give me a lecture. I gained about 20 pounds since the beginning of the summer, and I’m happy I lost five so far. I just want to get to my healthy weight. I know the BMI thing, and I’m not on target.
READ THE DAMN QUESTION BEFORE YOU TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING!!!.I’m not even including the calories from fat, so I’m eating good. I’ve been eating 6 meal a day with 3 moderately big ones. I need to lose weight. I’m 125 or 135 or 140 and I’m 16. Do you get it? It’s not healthy, I’m not starving myslef. Don’t get me confused with Nicole Richie.
I meant the calories that werent from fat.

You need calories to do your daily functions. Are you a girl? are you a boy? How big or small are you? Do you have a fast enough metabolism? How much do you excersize? these are all questions that will help determine that answer to your question.

well women are supposed to eat about 1200 calories a day and exercise, men i think can eat about 2000 calories a day + exercise. But even if you don’t exercise you should be eating about those many calories because if your body doesn’t get ENOUGH calories then you might actually GAIN weight.

The average person is supposed to consume about 2000 calories a day. You need some to live of of. Quick diets do not work it requires a lifstyle chnage. You need to program your life not to have food around. My significant other lost over 50 pounds it took 2 years and we have kept it off for over 6 years by changing habbits. we do not eat just carrots. read dr Phill’s book about losing weight!!! YOu are not doing it healthy and I can guarantee you that you will pack on the pounds after you diet as your body is going into starvation mode right now

You should eat 1800 calories a day (a bit less than usual, if you want to lose weight). Up to 550 may be from fat. And it’s not “so I ate about 975 calories”; it’s “so I took in 975 more calories than I burned.” And you burn cals. by sleeping, too!
Good luck! I hope I helped!

Presumably 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day would be OK. Anything less than 1,200 calories a day might lead to malnutrition, fatigue and a severely weakened immune system. You might even have fainting spells due to insufficient nutrition. If you work off 200 calories in the gymn then, presumably, you could increase your calorie intake to 1,400 to 1,700 calories a day.

1100 is 100 too low. Try to get more around 1200-1500 for weight loss. Although, you should keep in mind some fat calories are good (just as long as they’re used in moderate amounts). For instance, olive oil is all fat, but it’s good, healthy fat. Peanut butter has good fat too, but with excess sugar.

Don’t count calories. Stay away from sugar (including soda) and junk food. Eat lots of whole grain and vegetables and stay away from red meat and dairy and the pounds will fall off faster than you can believe.

Easy calorie count is 10 calories for every pound that you want to weigh. If you exercise a lot and lose too much weight you can go up from there.

I am a 35 year old female and weigh around 76kg and fairly average height. I have been put on a 1200 calorie program to lose weight. Exercise means loosing faster or a tiny treat. Good luck!!

good. It depends on whawt your bmr is. Remember You need at least 1200 calories at REST. This means 1200 calories are being burned every second if you were doing absolutely NOTHING. If your doing that much exercise you need to add at least 215 for your exercise. The reason being because in about a week you will be fatigued. Basically You need more calories. At least 1300 a day. You should be able to lose weight and have a great figure. Eat 5 times a day using 1300 calores. Those things should consist of fruit or protein at each meal. Take my advice.
