How many calories should I be eating every day while trying to lose weight?
I’m female, 5’10”, about 148 pounds. I’m wanting to lose 12 – 16 pounds.
I started doing cardio exercise about 6 weeks ago for about 30 minutes 4-5 times a week.
P.S. I have a desk job 🙁 (Which is probably why I gained 6-8 pounds in the last couple years)

ok go to this website http://www.phord.com/cc type in your height and weight and how much you weigh..and how many days you workout it will tell you how many calories you need to lose weight..i have lost total of 51.8lbs by counting my calories and workingout…i still eat what i want as long as you count your calories jus make sure its not high in fat or anything low in fat and calories..eat ya fruits and stuff..food is food…Calories are Calories..Good luck make sure you change your workout rountine get you are heart rate montior at wal mart i got an watch i keep up with my heart rate if i see my heart rate is not getting up around 135-160 i know its time to change my workout rountine Good luck 🙂

So you do not go into starvation mode- atleast 1200
So you don’t over consume- no more than 1500
Be sure to measure portion sizes because, say it says 100 calories for 1 cup. Well you could mindlessly have 2 cups and be consuming double calories. Also, exercise for faster results. Walk on breaks, and start off slow with maybe 30 minutes exercise 3-4 days and slowly build up.

but about 1200 to 1500 calories a day, depending on activities and BMI.
