How many Calories should I burn off in a day?

I just bought myself an elliptical and I’ve been working out twice a day for 45 min. I really don’t sweat that much when I work out though. How many calories do I need to burn off to loose a pound?

    If you consume / burn off 500 extra calories each day, you will lose 1 lb in a week.

    If you are working on a machine, try adjusting the resistance so that you burn more calories per session.

    you have to burn off 3500 – not in one day, but in one week. and that is in addition to your normal daily routine and taking into account for your diet. If you don’t eat well, you wont lose.

    3,500 Calories is one pound. You should consult a trainer at a gym or a doctor to get a good all-around workout so you can work all muscle groups though.
