How many calories should I burn and intake a day to loose weight?

I’m trying to loose weight and of course I’ve been dieting and exercising. My goal right now is to loose 10-15 and I’m trying very hard. I work out on my treadmill 1hr-2hrs a day everyday(I just started last week), and of course dieting taking about 400-500 calories a day with a lot of water and vitamins. At this time my weight is 141 and my height is 5’4″. But I’m a little cofused…how many calories should I burn a day to actually loose weight? and how many calories should I intake in my dieting to succeed in my weight loss?

    You want to figure out how many calories your body burns per day (there are calcuator for this on many different websites) and then burn or decrease you caloric intake by 500 calories. This will give you a 1-2 lb. weight loss per week (which is healthy).

    Sounds like you will loose about 1 to 1.5 lbs per week. It does not sound like a lot but if you keep up with it – it will be over before you know it.
