How many calories should I burn a day to lose 30 pounds?

I weigh about 226 pounds, and i would like to drop to about 195 pounds. I started running a few days ago, and i started running a mile a day, and im increasing a lap every few days. How many calories would i lose per mile at 226 pounds? How many calories should i intake a day? I’m desperate to lose weight, please help. Please, and thanks. Best answer gets 10 points.

    well you don’t really have to exercise that much per-say, just work hard and walk a lot maybe swim too if you can. eat less and do those things and you’ll get those 30 lbs off sooner than you think. my gf did that and she lost 40 lbs. in about 8 months.

    If you have an Ipod or Ipod touch, there’s a free app called Lose it! that helps you track your caloric intake and you enter your desired weight and how long until you want to get there and it tells you how many calories you can eat each day. You can also enter exercise.
