Is it harder to lose fat you gain from pregnancy than other fat?

Is it any harder trying to lose weight you gained from having a baby then regular belly fat? My mom is always complaining that my sister and I made her fat and she never lost it, haha! Hope that won’t happen to me!

not if you breast feed. breast feeding requires an additional 2000+ calories per day to produce milk, and it uses up the pregnancy fat that you gained to make this milk, especially the first couple of months. also, don’t forget to exercise and eat a balanced diet. just because you’re pregnant and have cravings doesn’t give you the green light to eat anything and everything you desire. my sister in law did that with all 3 of her pregnancies, and she’s a lot heavier than she was pre pregnancy. she took “eating for two” literally. eating for two means 1st trimester=no additional calories, 2nd trimester=an additional 300 or so calories, 3rd trimester= an additional 500-600 calories per day. hope this helps.

A postpartum girdle may help. Not with the fat, but with the pregnancy belly.
