How to lose weight without looking like your going on a diet?

I need to know how to lose weight without looking I am dieting or anything. My mom won’t let me lose any weight but I think I need to lose some weight. The thing is I don’t want her to know I am dieting, so what is a good way to diet without her noting it?

    unless you are really skinny already, she shouldn’t be stopping you from losing weight.
    you can just say you are going to be really healthy for the next month or whatever because you have noticed yourself feeling lethargic, tired and cranky (which is a result of poor diet). Cut out all junky foods and just say you’re being healthy, don’t say you are trying to lose weight.
    Surely she can’t object to that?

    Diets are not the answer! Just limit your food intake. It’s all about portion control. Is your mother really going to question when you start to eat vegetables and fruits?? Just tell her you’re trying to be as healthy as you can. Stop drinking soda, or anything with excessive caffeine. Exercise, but don’t over do it. Cardio is best. Walk around the block a few times. Enroll in a dance class. And always remember to drink enough water!

    Don’t go on a diet. Make life-style changes. Start by making better choices of the foods you eat and eat less of them. Don’t drink regular soda or too much diet soda. Learn to like water. Start exercising even if it is just joining a sport team at school. Walk more. Don’t sit or lay around the house. Remember, to lose weight you have to take in less calories than you use. So less food and more exercise will get you slimmer and trimmer. Oh, before I forget. You also have to get 8 hours of sleep a night.

    well I could not agree more to the answers above. They pretty much summed up everything that you need to know. For me, If you want it to be like a “secret” then you need to work fast. BUT don’t think about it too much, just continue on your diet, read books (i’ll just give you a link below since it worked reaallly good for me) and then just act normal, like you’re not getting into something or what not.     The best way to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight is through changing your eating habits and exercising regularly.

    1. Choose whole grains.

    2. Drink plenty of water.

    3. Choose lean meats and fish.

    4. Know the portion sizes for your calorie target.

    5. Limit fats to an average of 15 grams per meal.

    6. Choose fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible.

    7. Work out for no less that 45 minutes, 4-5 days a week.

    The answer is academic… Don’t Diet!
    Simply change your poor eating habits into healthy eating habits.

    You’ve heard it all before:
    – Cut the fats (no fried foods)
    – Eat your vegetables

    – Cut out the sugar
    – Exercise

    – Drink more water and less soda

    Do those things and you will lose weight and keep it off permanently. Unfortunately, the most important thing on that list is the exercise.

    Get more active and do it everyday and the weight will come off and stay off. Good Luck!

    eat 3 meals a day, lower their quantity. do some sports, even if you don’t want to go out, do it in your house.
    eat at least 2 fruits a day, and vegetables

    NEVER EAT OUT!!!! <---- number 1 enemy of all weight problems

    There are many diets who tell you that you can loose a lot of weight in no time. And it is working, but you are doing no good to your body. And there’s also the Jojo-effect.
    The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.
    Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That’s an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn’t that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?
