How bad will this hurt me? its the only way to lose weight fast enough.?

I started to starve my self its the only way i lose weight fast enough….

but how long should i do it for…. like when will it get really bad.

    get on the treadmill for an hour a day.

    take one day off.

    youll see real results fast and feel much better

    Starving may help you lose weight, but it slows your metabolism way down so the next times you try to eat your body will cling to all the calories. The best way to lose weight fast is with EXERCISE. but people are lazy and always choose starvation. If you can eat small snacks throughout the day and get a couple hours of hard exercise daily, THATS the fastest way to lose exercise.

    Yeah I agree with the first person, starving yourself is stupid. You know whats going to happen? Your metabolism is going to slow down tremendously, your body will hold onto the fat as much as it can and will begin to leak acid into your muscles to convert them into simple sugars available for energy and what ended up happening is that you lower your weight but you increased your body fat% when you start eating again. Fat is easy to gain muscle is not so starving is never an option if you want to lose weight. Go exercise it’s not that hard.

    After 3 days, your body begins to not only eat away fat but also muscle and your organs if you don’t eat anything. Starving just isn’t healthy.

    I would not advise starving yourself to lose weight. You may be at your perfect weight for as long as you’re starving yourself, but in the long run you will regain that weight and then some.

    um. you sorta gain weight at first if you starve yourself. cause your body goes into starvation mode and all and holds on to all your fat and stuff, lol. the only reason anorexics lose weight is cause they don’t eat for so long that the body isn’t able to hold back the weight cause there’s nothing to burn.

    if you’re thinking ’bout losing weight FAST, try other crash diets. cause this ain’t it.

    Starvation is not the answer. The reason why is that your body will go after the fastest source of nourishment possible, your bones and your muscle. Also when you start eating again, your body will maintian a low metabolism (in other words it will hold on to calories longer to prepare for the next time you decide to starve it) resulting in a more difficult time maintaning proper body weight.

    Eat lots of fruits and veggies. And have a balanced view of meats and starches. A high fiber diet will help to curb food cravings and strip the colon of rancid fecal matter in the colon. Just cleaning your colon alone can help you to lose a quick 10-25 pounds.

    Most of what we see as fat is actually toxic chemicals stored in the body. Avoid processed foods, presevatives, soda, and sugary foods and you will lose weight without feeling hungry.

    Oh my don’t hurt yourself! you can lose weight faster by eating than starving. Your body will go into starvation mode and slow your metabolizing system. It will take a long time to begin to drop off pounds. Try this, 8 cups of raw or lightly steamed veggies ( try not to eat carrots too sugary) 40 oz of water. 8oz of soy milk, 2oz of tofu. If you don’t like tofu eat lean meat instead 2 oz only though) 8oz or more of green tea with lemon or lime. I would stay away from fruits they are high in sugar and if you want to lose quick wait till you lose what you want to than start fruit again to maintain, ( lemon and lime or tomatoes OK) Do this every day and nothing else and you will lose quick! Big plus is you will feel good too!

    Are you actually “starving” or are you fasting? There is a big difference. Contrary to what others might say, going for a few days without eating is NOT going to kill you or throw off your metabolism.

    If you have a significant amount of weight to lose to be healthy (meaning you aren’t dieting purely for aesthetic reasons), fasting is a great way to jump start your weight loss.

    And to point out a very common misconception- you’re body DOES NOT go into “starvation mode” if you skip a meal. Starvation mode doesn’t kick in until roughly 2-3 weeks in a normal weight person who has stopped eating. And your muscle will only be used for energy in the initial days (2-3) of fasting, and then your body will utilize its protein-sparing mechanism. The simple fact is, your body is very well adapted to protect itself- so it’s NOT going to go after essential anatomical structures such as muscle until it has exhausted most of it’s fat stores. Fat is less essential to the body than muscle (although some is still needed to protect your internal organs).

    However, if you’re body fat percentage is already low, DO NOT fast. Abstaining from food when you already have a low percentage of body fat will do a lot of harm and could possibly kill you. And of course, if you are considering fasting for more than a few days, it’s best to check with your doctor or a nutritional counselor (I’d opt for a nutritional counselor since doctors know very little about proper nutrition).

    Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise, you will not have problem losing some fats and weight.

    I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

    That might help you lose weight, but it is going to slow down your metabolism a lot, and then when you start to eat again, you are going to gain more weight than with what you started. The best way is to exercise and eat healthy.
