Will losing some weight make it better?

I’m 5’9 for 170 lbs and I’m on a diet; I’ve already lost 13 lbs. I notice that even though I don’t really exercise my thighs somehow got a bit thinner – some clothes that didn’t fit before are not too big for me.
Now my concern is will losing weight make my butt smaller? Or will I need to do some sort of exercise for that purpose? Can you recommend any?

hell yeah loosin weight will make your butt smaller, you’re doin a great job congrats on the 13 lbs!!

If you want some butt-improving exercises (so it will be smaller and a ..better..shape?) squats are a good one, and of course with running, you tend to have less ass. lol
good luck ! keep it up!

Yeah, losing fat makes you lose fat all around. Exercising helps, obviously, but as you’ve noticed you don’t have to do much exercise to lose fat.

The more fat you lose, the smaller everything will get. But the thing is, is you just lose fat without somehow building muscle (in this case, your glutes), your butt will be tiny and totally flat. Maybe you want that; personally I like ’em a bit rounder, but hey.

Do squats and lunges; mainly squats. If you have access to machines I would also recommend hamstring lifts.

believe it or not, when you try to lose weight you cannot focus on any specific area to lose weight, you just lose it and it kind of comes of wherever it comes off. If you lose enough weight eventually it will come off all the spots you want it to.

An example: doing sit-ups will not lose weight in your stomach area. Any type of cardio work will help lose weight but you can’t focus it on where you want to lose weight.

When you do exercises like crunches and weightlifting what it does is tone and build muscles (although technically what it does is break down muscles and in your rest period the muscles build themselves back up but that’s a different story altogether)
