What can I do to lose some weight?

I have soda, 0-2 times a week. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, a lot of dairy and wheat, and some meat. My problem is I eat a lot afterschool(i have a healthy packed lunch). What can I do to lose a few pounds and change my eating habits?

    I have the same problem after school. I find if I have a healthy snack, and then simply stay out of the kitchen it really helps. Also I exercise after school instead of eating.

    right afterschool- before you are even hungry, eat a healthy snack- apple- banana- string cheese, that way you won’t want to eat the junk- because you will be satisfied enough- when you are hungry, the 1st thing you grab for is the junk- because its easy to get.
    one more thing- try not to have junk in the house- if you don’t have it- you won’t eat it.

    eat a well balanced diet, drink lots of water, and exercise every day for at least 30 minutes. it doesn’t have to be all at once.

    I really think you need to eat salads and fruits instead of pizza and all that greasy crap….then you can jog and excersize all the time….and mabe that will help

    Try eating a healthy snack before you are off school, or on the way home instead of when you get home.
    It’s easier that way because you set a limit on what you are going to eat and how much and then when you get home you will not be hungry and can make yourself pass up the kitchen totally.

    find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
    eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
    5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
    8 glasses of water
    have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy
    have lean meat (protein) for dinner – repairs muscle
    cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
    dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
    ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
