What are some good workouts that tackle your core(tummy), and that help you lose weight fast?

The question is in the title.

I’m also hoping if someone can give me a list of foods and drinks i should eat if i want to be fit and healthy, not to mention to lose weight and gain more muscle.

Thanks all!

having a tone midsection ( abs) is due in part to your diet and exercise . decrease your daily calorie intake by eating lean protein , veggies and fruits. Increase your cardio exercise by running or walking at least 2 miles a day. Get in at least 200 situps daily. This site is great for losing your tummy fast.

I hear that even with the best ad workout, if you don’t eat healthy & cut carbs, you’ll never get a 6 pack! I don’t like that advice one bit! I am and always have been a little overweight, but I managed to get definition lines in my abs & that poochy lower abdominal area to go bye bye, by doing pilates 6-7 days a week. I love pilates & it helps with love handles too, an even bigger plus! Actually, it toned my upper legs & arms too, plus a thinner neck. That is a great core workout, although I haven’t tried Yoga. I think that does the trick too.

Do some kind of cardio work-out like running, cycling, or aerobics. This will not only target your core, but all the accumulated fat in your body. It will also help you tone up your muscles, so you’ll lose weight and tone up at the same time. Crunches could help, too. It may help you tone up, but it won’t necessarily make you lose weight. The key to losing weight (and maintaining a healthy one) is to burn/use more calories than you consume. That means you’ve got to work up a sweat, and give your body a chance to use the calories you take in during meals.

Drinking plenty of water will help you lose weight because it has a purifying effect on the body (it makes you feel good, too). But don’t drink water exclusively. There are lots of healthy juices out there full of vitamins (just make sure it’s 100% fruit juice before you buy). I personally like V-8 Fusion (you can find it at most grocery stores). There is a full serving of fruits and vegetables in every glass, and it comes in a variety of delicious flavors.

Now for foods. There are so many healthy foods out there, but few that are tasty or satisfying. If you really like meat (steaks, burgers, etc), you may want to opt for a leaner cut of meat, or eat fish. Chicken is also a great option, but not if it’s slathered in oil or fried. Also eat plenty of veggies. Experiment; see which ones you like best. And keep foods high in fat to a minimum. Instead of eating a huge piece of cake for dessert, try eating a piece of grilled pineapple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And if you must eat cake, just try eating a smaller portion. Hope this helps and good luck with everything!
