For losing weight is this good?

After listening to answers on my previous questions on losing weight, is eatting basicly only white meat thats grilled, wholemeal an wholegrain foods, nimble bread and pitta bread, plus drinking only water, flavoured water and apple juice a good idea for a long term diet plan along side with exercising 4-5 times a week for 1h and 30mins each time?
Theres alot of great answers here, so considering i can’t choose a answer ill put it to the vote.

worst thing to do when you diet is to limit yourself – look for colors in foods bright and diff all kinds! example – tomatoes – carrots – onions – garlic – ETC ETC

I highly disagree with that third answer – it is a proven fact drinking calcium (DAIRY) helps you lose weight..just depends if your example – pigging out on cream cheese / yogurt then yes stay away but meh …

As much as it sucks you need to stay away from dairy and from carbs. Go high on protein and about an hour a day of exercise 3-4 times a week should be good. Stay away from any fatty foods and grilled is the best way to go.

Eating lean protein poultry, pork, and many type of fish are best. It is okay to red meat in your diet as well a few times a week. When picking breads go for ones that say 100% whole grain on the label. (FYI Wonderbread is made from whole grains. The grain is taken apart before it is turned into bread.) Water is great. Applejuice not so much for a diet. Juices of any kind tend to have just as much sugar as soda does. Eat lots of fruit and veggies. Also eat healthy fats like nuts and olive oil.
It is okay to have the occasional treat. Otherwise you might go crazy.
Try to get protein/carbs/and fats into each meal/snack
Just remember any “diet” that you couldn’t do forever you probably don’t want to do in the first place. Incorporating healthy practices into your daily life works best for shedding pounds and ultimately keeping them off. If you can’t keep the weight off once you quit your diet you are doing what is known as yo-yo dieting. That makes it harder to lose weight the next time.
As for exercise 1h 30m each time is a lot.
According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) physical activity pyramid (think food guide pyramid for exercise) you should do:
(base of the pyramid) Moderately Intense Physical Activity (MIPHA) 5+ times per week for 30 minutes for health. 60-90 minutes for weight loss. These are things like washing your car or walking the dog.
(next level of the pyramid) Cardio 3-5 times per week for 20-60 minutes.
Strength 2-3 days per week with enough resistance to cause muscle fatigue at 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps for all major muscles.
Flexibility 2-3 days per week. Stretch to mild discomfort for 15-30 seconds and perform 2-4 times (Stretch after cardio/strength for best results).
Remember to warm up and cool down before exercising.

Stardust is spot on with their answer – it is a big mistake to limit yourself to only certain foods – your body needs many nutrients in order to function properly, limiting yourself means you may be depriving your body of these vital nutrients and can actually be detrimental in losing weight. Looking at what you are eating now, there are many B vitamins that you would be missing that are important in so many of your body’s functions (immune system, metabolising proteins, boosting energy levels, etc.) and as they are water soluble (not stored by the body) it is important that you have a daily intake of them.

As for dairy products – it is totally dangerous to cut calcium from your diet (although calcium can be obtained from some leafy green vegetables, sardines and salmon) People associate calcium with strong bones and teeth, but it is far more important than that – it is absolutely essential for a healthy body – it ensures that our heart beats and our muscles contract, and it is extremely important to our nervous and immune system. Osteoporosis occurs when our bodies are not getting enough calcium in our diets so they take from our stores (bones and teeth) in order to keep our vital organs functioning properly.

If you want to lose weight, then excercise is the way (it’s simple maths – burn off more calories than you intake) Focus yourself diet-wise onto healthy eating as opposed to depriving yourself as a way of losing those pounds and concentrate on finding an excercise that you enjoy doing as a way of burning off any excess. It does work and you will feel so much better for it! Good Luck!!

sounds good but watch it with the flavored water, unless its sugar free its going to be the same as drinking full fat coke or milk by the mega mug full.

Eat 3 meals a day and 3 small snacks a day, make the meals about 350 to 500kcals max and the snacks 100 to 150kcals a day max.

Excercise and dont eat half an hour before hand but do eat within one hour afterwards.

Eat 5 portions minimum! of fresh fruit and steamed veg and drink 2 litres of fluid (not including tea or coffee) per day.
