If i lose weight will i lose some of my strech marks on my hip?

I’ve gained some weight this past year and a half…i’m starting to lose it now…i have about 5 smaller stretch marks on my hip/ “love handle”….will they go away when i lose the weight?

or are there actually any “creams” or whatever that do get rid of them

stretch marks are scars, they do not ever go away. You can minimize their appearance by using several different products available, but once there, they are there pretty much for life.

Nope! they are there to stay without some type of medical treatment to cover them up(I think some doctor’s are using a laser)

Hate to say it, but I don’t think so. Stretch marks are from where the skin is overstressed, and, once there, it takes something like plastic surgery to do anything about them.
My girlfriend started getting them on her belly during pregnancy, until she started using stretch cream, but the cream only slowed them down from getting worse, and, even after she delivered and got back in shape, they haven’t gone away.

While you can’t remove the few that are there, you can prevent any that may occur during your weight loss. Weight loss is sometimes the cause of stretch marks. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Cream for stretch marks with the pregnant lady on the bottle is good to use as well as Mederma. Both can be bought from Walgreens or Wal Mart. These products contain elastin which adds elasticity to your skin and in turn prevents stretch marks. God Bless You!
