I seriously need to lose some weight?

I am a 20 year old girl, 6ft tall and I weigh 260. I feel really bad about the way I look and have very low self-esteem…I’d like to know of some good easy ways to lose weight so I can feel better about myself. I want to at least get down to 200 by the time my 21st birthday comes around in early October. I don’t have any exercise equipment or anything like that so try and improvise whenever you post something. Any help would be very helpful to me. Thanks!
I just went to a website and checked my BMI….and it’s 35.3. I put in 200 on there and it would be considered overweight but not obese.

    If you’re 6ft and 260, you’d probably make a good basketball player. 60 pounds is quite a lot to lose in a year, so you will probably have to exercise everyday: walk, jog, run.

    eat less, more veggies & fruits, count your calories. Also exercise A LOT: Especially cardio (running, swimming, jogging) because that’s what burns the most calories, causing you to lose weight. dont lose more than 2 pounds a week, because thats unhealthy. dont starve yourself either.

    Drink a large class of water before eating anything. It will help fill you up and cause you to eat less.
    Also, stretching is really good for slimming you down. Find some good stretching to do for your inner legs, outer legs, your waist etc.

    First of all, congratulations. Congratulations because the first step to losing weight is determination and a goal, which you have. I would say, try to invest in a gym membership and do ellipticals and weigh training. If this really is not an option, WALK. This is a fail safe way to lose weight. You burn just as many calories per mile as running the same distance (though for the record, running is better, but you’ll get there). You just need to eat right, and exercise. Throw in muscular training too, because muscle burns more calories, pound for pound. It’s the key to any successful weight loss. Be sure to count calories, and most of all MOVE. When I lost weight, the thing most helpful was writing down everything I ate, all of my activites, and setting a goal. This kept me honest with myself, and was the key to achieving my dream weight.     Everyone can go jogging. I know people who have lost a ton of weight from running because you start out wanting to lose weight then after a while you end up loving it. many books you get on running say it is the best way and it is a stress reliever. Don’t expect to lose it fast, but if you just have fun you will be there in no time.

    Hi there. Here are a few suggestions that might help you. Cut your meal portions almost in half of what you are eating now. Before eating a meal take on a glass of water, this will help you to feel fuller before eating. Try to have at least 6-8 glasses of water per day. While eating, take smaller bites and chew and eat your food slowly. This will allow your stomach to feel full faster. We all love to gobble down good food, but when we do, we eat it so fast that by the time we feel full, we have overate. Try to eat foods that are healthy for you. If you love bread and potatoes and pasta, then eat it in moderation. Try putting your meals on a smaller plate as the brain will say “Hey theres alot of food here.” Try something like 1 small potato, vegetables and a small piece of meat for supper. Have a sandwich at lunch or soup and a salad, and ALWAYS make sure that you eat breakfast, as that is the most important meal of the day. Weigh yourself once a week maybe on a Monday morning and stick to that. I know when I tried to lose some weight, I weighed myself everyday and noticed that 1 day I might lose 1 pound and then the next day could have gained 2 poinds. We all carry alot of water in our body, and we will carry some extra weight especially around that time of month. So please don’t get discouraged, just keep on your routine and things will go fine for you. If you are a person that has a sweet tooth then allow yourself to splurge at least once a week with maybe a piece of chocolate just to take the craving away. If you take away everything that you love then you are going to feel withdrawn and discouraged.
