i have been losing some weight and eating healthier. i was wondering if i should weight lift?
i am 15 yrs old. i go jogging everyday. i ussually do sit ups pushups and squats. i have been losing weight. i was wondering if i should start weight training to build some muscle around my arms and chest.

if you want to build some muscle, that sounds like a good idea. don’t overdo it though, and stay healthy.

Weight training also increases your metabolism so it is a good idea to do this in conjunction with your weight loss efforts. If you are trying to build muscle then lift heavy weights and less reps. If you want to just increase your metabolism and tone then do lighter weights and more reps.

Your not saying your size, but if the weight is coming off and you need it to come off, keep going with that till you reach a desired goal or maybe a little extra. Then get the weights out and tone what you have left, with a lot of reps and not much weight. As long as the weight is coming off keep going………your doing something right. Good for you.
