Help! I need to lose 30 pounds by the time I return to school in August. Does anyone have some good tips on the best way to do it? I know I need to diet and exercise, but I need more advice. Thanks!

eat mainly chicken and tuna, or any other fish, alot of greens, not alot of carbs, but you will need a little for working out, focus only on cardio, 2-3 hours a day, every day, as long as your heart is pumping at a good rate thats all that matters, the time is most important thing of cardio you can do a moderate pace, but the time is important!! oh and drink at least 1/2 a gallon of water a day! no sodas, little juices, no alcohol!

I’m not an expert, but I can tell you one thing that has helped me, I cut out all liquid calories. I ONLY drink water with lemon or lime twists and LOTS of it! I also have cut out all excess salt. I do try to eat about every 3 hours (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack) and I do stay conscious of ‘stupid calories’ (ie, no cheesecake with dinner, no 130 calorie poppy salad dressing). Other than that, no special diet OR exercise and I’ve steadily lost 15 pounds in 2 months. Just think how much I could have with some exercise and a little more strict of a diet:). My advise, drink nothing but water and LOTS of it and eat 5 to 6 small meals a day and incorporate protein with each. If exercise is not your thing, grab an ipod, download a book and walk every day for at least 30 minutes!

Diet advice: Scarsdale diet.
Pick one Scarsdale’s menu and stick to it. Ten Lbs a week possible. If you keep Scarsdale two-on plus two-off system for life, fat will never return.
Exercise advice:
Walking briskly burns around 360 fat-calories every hour.
Walk ten hours a week and loose two pounds (one of fat, the other of water).
