eating fruit and veg dosne’t make you weight less
    do more excercise
    stop snacking
    stop eating out
    eat home cooked food
eat less generally but still eat obivously

Eat less of whatever it is you usually do eat.

Figure out how many calories you eat now, and reduce the amount by 500 calories a day, that will have you losing about a pound per week.

Exercise a lot, eat protein after exercise, it’s what makes muscle. Learn to make veggies in tasty ways (check out the book Deceptively Delicious), only eat good carbs (wheats), drink plenty of water (avoid juice and other empty sugar calories).

One way I add veggies is to shred up a veggie and cook it into marinara sauce (or chili), it’s there but absorbs other flavors so it’s not screaming “I’M A VEGETABLE!”.

Try Indian food- vegetarian but with things like garbanzo beans, and spices that can make you forget what you are eating!

Watch The Biggest Loser and see what it actually takes to lose that much weight: lots of physical activity, calorie consciousness and a strong commitment to change, (which is probably going to mean eating veggies)

If you hate fruits and vegetable then blend them & make delicious smoothies. Add some hemp milk for better tasting.

the best exercise to lose weight is pushing yourself away from the table. moderation is everything. if you are non active, like a office worker, 1200 calories a day is enough. 1600 for a blue collar worker that is on his feet all day. 2000 for a construction worker carrying lumber and climbing ladders. your doctor/health professional will be more than glad to give you a list of foods and how many calories per serving. remember that some servings/ portions are very small

Yes. Work on getting on to a low glycemic index diet. Avoid foods like potato chips, white bread, sugars, etc, and greasy foods, and eat more foods like oatmeal, raisin bran, beans, corn, OJ and other fruit juices. Foods high in non-soluble fiber will make you feel full for longer and keep your blood sugar from spiking. Also take a B-complex since it will help with cravings.

A good book is 8 weeks to Optimal Heath, by Dr Weil, which says a lot about fruit and veg but also talks about the benefits of different oils and other ways to eat heathier.

I also have the same problem. I’ve found that the best thing to do is switch to diet drinks, water, and tea only (sugar free or with splenda) Also my roomate reccently found out that she was diabetic and to give her some support I would follow her diet with her. It’s not as bad as it sounds. It’s really about portion sizes and following meals. You need to eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and maybe a late snack. In the end i’ve actually found myself more full. This doesn’t always include veggies and fruits although it may help. But you’d be surprised how much you can do without it. It’s all I’ve done and in a month i’ve lost 12 lbs. Don’t try to loose weight too fast doctors say it’s best to aim for 1-2 lbs a week. And for exercise just take a walk in the park or something. Start small and work your way to more. And remember snacks aren’t full meals. Try eating like 100 packs or something of the sort. And drink lots of water. I hope this helps!

So to sum it up try to stay away from sugar drinks (especially soda), eat three meals a day with a small snack between, and just take a relaxing walk in the park.

I know it doesn’t sound like you’re doing much but just look up what a diabetic diet follows. You count do have to look at nutrtional info for what you eat but it’s a small price to pay for the differnce it makes.

Eat less, move more. Eat four to six meals a day with breakfast being the largest and dinner the smallest. Eat the majority of your calories earlier in the day. Avoid sodas and junk foods. Keep your calories at or above 1400 a day to prevent your body from going into starvation mode.

If you want more tips, e-mail me.

Also, I didn’t eat mainly fruits and vegetables. I ate mainly carbs. While I don’t suggest doing that, weight-loss is all about calories in versus calories out–It doesn’t really matter where those calories come from.
