Everyone says I look slimmer but the scales say I’ve put a pound on?

Hi there

I’m kinda overweight and so joined the gym and joined slimming world. I was excellent for 2 weeks and went to “body combat” four times a week but was gutted to find out I had put half a pound on at slimming world!!

3 ppl have said I look really slim and I guess I do.. what’s going on, I wanna lose pounds!

    You’re probably losing fat and adding muscle to your body from working out. If you look slimmer and feel more toned then i’d say that is what’s going on.

    This is because you have probably burnt fat off but gained muscle, and as you probably know muscle weighs more than fat – explaining why you have put a pound on.

    Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you’re excercising actively now the slight gain indicates you’re building up muscle. The weight will start to come off soon enough and you’ll be building a nicely toned body. Keep it up!
