What balance between exercise and diet will ensure weight loss?
I’m wondering is it 50% diet and 50% exercise or is the ratio a bit different. Somebody told me before that losing weight is down to 70% dieting and 30% exercise. Can anybody help? I not having much luck in shedding 15 pounds!

I think if you cut out most of the rubbish like cakes, crisps and processed foods and stick to fruit, veg meat, pulses and grains and then exercise for 20 minutes per day you’ll notice the difference very quickly.

I found that it is 50/50. If you eat a certain amount of calories you need to match that with exercise to burn it up. Try to stick with healthy foods that do not contain trans fats, that are processed, have loads of white sugar, white flour, corn syrup etc. I found that when I stayed away from those processed foods, I tend to perform better with my workouts and have been able to stick with it. You need to do some weight training say every other day and cardio/aerobic almost everyday. That way, you are sure of burning some of the calories you consume. For me, I like doing weights 2-3 times a week, and 6 days a week I either jog or walk vigoriously for 30-45 minutes. So if you are able to control your eating and the amount of exercise you commit daily, you’ll be shedding your pounds and noticing a difference in your body as well. Also, it would be an extra benefit if you enjoy a sport or team sport. I’ve been playing ice hockey for over 12 years and that’s a great way to stay in shape! Remember to stay focused and work hard towards your goal! Good luck!!

eat lightly and eat only when u feel hungry.
is better to have 6 light meal in a day than 3 heavy one.
also.. skip supper, having supper b4 u sleep will only makes u gain weight faster. less calories are burned when u sleep.
as for exercise, go for cardio, eg: jogging, swimming, cycling.
they are the best way to burn fat.
also.. diet is not about how much u eat, is what u eat that’s important.

the reality is that when u wana lose weight, a good diet is easier and faster than excercise.then with a good diet(getting started with 70-80% of the calory u need),u can take a simple walk as a very helpful exercise to lose weight healthy.
good luck buddy

I’ve been told, until he was blue in the face (kinda) energy in – energy out = ?. Meaning if you eat lots you need to exercise lots, if you eat less then exercise less.
Personally I’ve found that eating healthy without sugary foods and unhealthy snacks + exercise, I do about 4-5 20+ mile bike rides a week, plus a mornings swim on the weekend = weight loss on a big scale for me.
It’s about expending energy and if you’re eating loads and exercising little you’ll put on weight, if you’re eating less and exercising loads you may not actually lose much weight as the body has a starvation mode where it stores food as fat in panic. So you have to strike the right balance for you. I’ve discovered I can pretty much eat what I want now because I’ve increased my metabolism.
Good luck and stick at it, it will work.

There are certainly a variety of details like that to take into consideration. That may be a great level to carry up. I supply the thoughts above as common inspiration however clearly there are questions like the one you convey up the place the most important factor might be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.
