If i replace one meal a day with a slimfast shake would it help with weight loss?

i’ve just started a new diet, just healthy eating and some exercise but i wanted to know if i replaced just one meal, either breakfast or lunch, would it speed up weight loss in any way?
I dont want to follow the whole Slimfast plan because it is far too expensive and i know i would get bored- i like food!!lol

    in short, yes.
do it for lunch and not breakfast though.
slim fast honestly would work if people did it right, and replacing a meal with it would give you results over time.

No, there are as many calories as there are in two Weetabix with semi-skimmed milk. Have 40g of cereal with a quarter of a pint of milk.

Depends on how big the other meals are!

Yes but replace lunch or dinner with it not breakfast. There’s more calories to be lost that way.

It would help but it is not a proper eating schedule. You will only put it back on again when you start eating proper food.

I go to Slimming World and have lost nearly 2.1/2 stone this year.

I have a very, very large appetite and I am never hungry.

This is a typical days menu.

Breakfast. 28g Cereal, 1 large banana. 1 Mueller Light Yogurt
glass orange juice, coffee made with milk.

Lunch Large salad with tomatoes, radishes, cucumber, 2 eggs,
lots of boiled ham, onions, celery and some salad cream.
Whole grapefruit, grapes, 1 orange and 1 muller light
    yogurt.

Dinner 4 low fat sausages, 1 egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
Cut up fresh pears, peaches, cherries, strawberries
    1 muller light yogurt

    Snacks 2 Alpen Light Bars

    Supper 1 Options drink
    Cadburys Double Decker bar

The above is a sample of what I can eat on the Slimming World plan,
you would have to join the find out more as there are foods that cannot be eaten in large quantities and some other little extras you need to know about, but it is well worth joining. Even if you only go for 4 weeks to get an idea of how it works. it is the best eating plan I have ever been on.

If you love baked potatoes and baked beans you can eat them until they come out of your ears and that is just one food, there are loads and loads more.

Why do you want to loose weight fast?
Often loosing weight fast will cause you also to gain it back more easily.
Your body needs to adjust to a change of diet, quick loss signals it to go to starvation mode which can slow down weight lose, and will definitely make it harder to keep it off.

The reason people are gaining so much weight in America today is because of the over processed nutritionally lacking foods in the supper markets today.
when you are nutritionaly lacking your body is continually craving food, so then you overeat.
Eating more nutrionaly poor food just keeps up the vicious cycle.
Also the high amount of sugar intake in US acounts for sevear weight gain, sugar has no calories but stores fat. There is 23 teaspoons of sugar in one can of Pepsi or Cola like products.
Reduce sugar intake, cut out all white flour products, eat more fruits and veggies accompanied by cheese, turkey, fish or another low fat meat (not pork).
Drink plenty of water, 1 gallon a day is recommended (this includes fruit juice, but not coffee, tea, or sodas)
Reduce tea and coffee intake as they dehydrate the body and destroy minerals and vitamins in the body.
Eat a good protein rich meal in the morning such
    example of good breakfast
Fried egg (in virgin olive oil)
    Ground turkey sausage patty
Multi grain toast with a little butter or jam

Lunch should be the main meal of the day, as you have the rest of the day to burn it off.
Which means you can eat most anything you like in a moderate portion.
So lunch can be Spaghetti, lasagna, fried chicken, burritos, etc…

Dinner should be light to very light
Steamed veggies with a dusting of parmesan or a little butter
A salad with a drizzle of dressing or a squeeze of lemon ad a dash of pepper, etc.
If you eat a good sensible diet and get some light exercise such as a brisk walk daily, you wont need expensive diet plans.
Eating right and organic will cost ALOT less than slim fast, weight watchers, etc and you will be able to keep it off because your whole way of eating will change for a lifetime not just a short loose wight interval.
You should walk staring out at 1/2 mile a day and next week extend to 1 mile until you can do up to 2 miles a day at a brisk untiring walk.
Walking tones the overall body, strengthens the cardio vascular system and does not over stress the joints and internal organs like running or weight lifting can do.
What ever you do, be safe and sensible.

Slimfast, when combined with exercise and diet does indeed contribute to sustained weight loss. The plan only involves using one shake a day anyway to replace one main meal.

It will work for very short term, but make sure you taking in enough calories, otherwise your body will go into starvation mode and burning fat will be impossible then. the problem with repalcing a meal is once you stop and you no lnoger follow the plan, the weight will be put back on again so its a waste of time in the long run. but with healthy eating and exercises this could aid in some weight loss, but minimal, better off eating some fruit.

to be honest it would depend on what you would be changing it from. like if you usually had a curry(just an example) but changed it for a slimfast shake then yes it would 😀

and i would never follow the whole slimfast plan either as
    1) id get bored
    2)far too expensive
3)you do still need some proper good food to help keep your body functioning properly . lol

    good luck 😀

yes! of course it will help!!

and if you really want to lose wight and fat then you should remember and do this:

    EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) + L-Carnitine + TAKE LESS CALORIES + LIPO-6 = 100% SUCCESS

    1) if you dont have scales then buy them!!! that is the first thing to do!!

    2) run every 2 days for at least ~30 minutes or/and walk every day at least 5 km!

    3) L-Carnitine!!!

L-Carnitine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy. It is produced by the body in the liver and kidneys and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm. Usually, the body can make all the carnitine it needs. Some people, however, may be deficient in carnitine because their bodies cannot make enough carnitine or transport it into tissues so it can be used. Some other conditions, such as angina or intermittent claudication, can also cause insufficient carnitine in the body, as can some medications.L-Carnitine is made in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It increases the use of fat as an energy source by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are ‘burned’ to release energy for body functions. It is available in several different forms including propionyl-L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine. Propionyl-L-carnitine, through its enhancement of metabolism has been proven to prevent ischemia-induced heart dysfunction, and acetyl-L-carnitine has been suggested to delay the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. L-carnitine is found naturally in avocados, breast milk, dairy products, red meats (namely lamb and beef), and tempeh (fermented soybean product).

L-carnitine should be taken one hour before you will exercise! (Also you can take L-carnitine with meals or 1 to 1-1/2 hours after meals!)

L-Carnitine boosts energy by stimulating the body’s burning of tryglycerides as fuel, and sparing the supply of glycogen stored in the liver for heavier exertion. During exercise, the body will burn fat at a rate of 75-80% of maximum exertion, thus less glycogen from carbohydrates is burned. L-carnitine
allows the body to burn more fat, save more glycogen, and ultimately boost stamina and endurance. By providing more fat to the muscles, carnitine makes accessible an otherwise unavailable energy source.

    FAT + OXYGEN + L-CARNITINE = ENERGY

    5) you MUST change your diet!! start to use products with less fat, less carbohydrates! start count your calories! do not eat more than ~2000 per day and if you feel that you can reduce this number then do it!

because if you will use L-Carnitine – you will get calories from your body fat too!! so better is to eat 2kg fruits then 1 cheeseburger…
and drink more and more water!! REMEMBER – NO rice, NO pasta, NO pork, NO mayonnaise, NO sweets, NO candies, NO alcohol!!!!!
    MORE fruits, vegetables!!!

    6) also you should use some fat-burner! I had tried many of them but only one worked for me as fast as I wanted to! it was Lipo-6! I lost ~80 pounds in 3 months! No starvation!! only LESS CALORIES + Lipo-6 + L-Carnitine + EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) = SUCCESS!!!

I do not know if any store carry Lipo-6 but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.healthbuy.com/product/overview/lipo6_weight_loss/?aid=749165

It worked for me and my wife!

and this method is working for my friends too!!

just try it and I guarantee you 100% that you will lose wight!!!

    good luck!!!
