how do i exercise by not gaining muscle just losing fat?

i’m in the process of losing weight-8 pounds so far!- and im losing it fast so i dont want baggy extra skin..what are some exercises that i can do that burns fat and tightens the skin WITHOUT gaining muscle?

    Though i’m not sure why you would want to NOT gain muscle… you’re trying to be as light as possible… in other words, you’re very uncomfortable with your weight, and envy the skinny girls…
    (assuming your female.. most guys WANT muscle)
    But don’t worry… it doesn’t matter how much you work out… you wouldn’t get muscle mass like a guy will… only tone. Which trust me… guys like that better than a skinny girl.

    My guess is, you are Bluemic, and/or Anorexic… stop doing both of these, you’ll be healthier and in better shape if you eat right, and keep the Cardio up… I.E. running.

    Jillian Michaels has several dvds that you can do at home, I suggest the No More Trouble Zone. It aids to weight lose while building lean muscles, not making you bulk up!

    First of all, let me tell you that gaining muscle is one of the best ways to lose fat.

    But if this is your plan, then you’re going to want to do some intense cardio, and alot of it. Without any muscle to assist you in fat loss, it’s going to be alot of hard work. Consider interval sprinting if you’re in very good shape. Some other options are spinning, or just plain running/jogging.

    All exercise will give you a little bit of extra muscle (its the muscle under the skin that causes the skin to look tighter) however I assume what you are not wanting is ugly man muscles.
    Luckily for you, it’s quite difficult for a woman to gain that sort of muscle (lack of testosterone and all that) and so you can do anything except strength training (things that involve slowly pulling heavy things) and just gain firmness, rather than bulging muscles.
    Things to do are running, using the cross trainer, running up and down stairs, swimming, trampolining, skipping, and basically anything that gets you panting and your heart pumping fast.

    Focus on cardio ie, jogging, exercise bike even rowing machine if you have access to it.

    Dont rule out muscle though because if you put on a bit of muscle it will burn fat.

    Well all you could do there is just lose weight slowly. If the weight is coming off slowly then the skin has time to readjust around what’s there now.

    Losing weight too quickly damages all sorts of things in the body, it’s just not a good idea.

    Try jogging, swimming, light cycling, walking etc…
    Just do some light exercises that get you slightly out of breath and get your heart beating a little faster.
    If you find the weight coming off fairly quickly then just cut back a little.
