How can I exercise to lose weight without gaining muscle?
I know I’m suppose to do cardio without any resistance, but it seems like I am still gaining muscle from it. Do I need to go for a longer period of time, or should I cut back on calories so that it is impossible to gain weight? The reason why I don’t want to gain muscle is because I already have some muscle and I want to look thinner not bigger!

There`s no possible way you`re gaining muscle weight from doing just cardio. Eat less.

Cardio increases your heart rate and boosts your metabolism. Weights build muscle. If you are only doing cardio you are not building any muscle. If you are not losing weight, then you should add some light weight training to your workout for an overall lean look.

I have tried all kinds of diets. It is up to YOU as to what your goals may be. Quite naturally, you should get a doctor’s examination and suggestions BEFORE you pursue a weight-loss regimen. Then ask him lots of questions. This is what you are paying him/her for. This way, you will remain healthy while cutting the weight. Also, as an added item, I don’t eat anything but soup or juices after 3:00 p.m. The idea here is that I am not as active after that time. I wouldn’t want to risk defeating my weight loss program. I wish you endless success. Peace!
