How much can I expect to lose on Slimming World in 3 weeks?
I am 5’8″ and weigh 11 stone 11lbs. Ideally I’d like to be 11 stone by mid July.
I’ve been on the diet before and lost some weight but find it tricky as I don’t have a sweet tooth and all Slimming World FREE foods seem to be sweet…ie yogurts/fruit/veg… I like savoury things and they’re high syns….

Hi,
I think its good to expect to lose between one and two pounds a week, doesn’t sound like much but if you pick a pound bag of sugar or flour up in the supermarket, it will put it in perspective.
Some people buy the bags of flour/sugar and keep them for a while, especially at the beginning. It gives a constant reminder of how well you are doing, good psychologically.
All free food doesn’t have to be sweet.

Most people have a larger loss in their first week, you could easily lose 3 or 4 lbs if you stick to the plan. Then you should aim to lose between 1 and 2lb per week. Not as fast as you want I know, but the slower you lose the weight the more likely it is to stay off.
You can get savoury things that are free or low syn to snack on. Try Slimming World Quiche:
Mix 1 tub of low fat cottage cheese with 3 eggs in an oven proof dish. For an original day add cooked lean bacon, mushrooms and onion or for a green day add things like pepper, courgettes, peas, sweetcorn, mushrooms, slices of cooked potatoes etc. Put in any combination of the things you like, season and cook for about 30 minutes at 180C.
If you prefer (I always do) sprinkle over 3oz low fat cheddar (2 HEa) . This makes 2 big portions. Nice hot or cold. If you don’t have the cheddar you can nibble on it all day for free.
Or how about Chickpea ‘peanuts’ or lasagne ‘crisps’. It is never clear whether these are classed as free or not, but my consultant says as long as you have them in moderation and they don’t affect your weight loss enjoy them as free. If they are counted as syns it would be very low. Make some nice free savoury dips to go with them.
Also you can get low syn crisps – Weight Watcher cheesy puffs (3.5 syns), Sainsbury’s BGTY crispy potato bites (3.5 syns) or Snack a jacks salt and vinegar popcorn (1.5 syns).
