How many calories a day should I consume on a low carb diet?

I want to lose 15 pounds in 2-4 weeks. I am going to consume less than 20 carbs a day, but how many calories should I take in.

Also, if you have any ideas for snacks and meals with no or low carbs, please tell me. Thanks!

    Adult males need appx. 2500 calories a day & adult females 2000 calories a day. I wouldn’t be concerned with calories, your body will let you know what you need. Do not ignore hunger & make sure you eat every morning to stimulate metabolism.

    Low-carb diets are not calorie-restrictive. The idea is that you lose weight by reducing your intake of foods that are high in carbs. That is you can eat as much as you want to provided that the foods you eat are not high in carbs. It is difficult to overeat protein so I believe you should not worry about your total calorie intake very much.

    Your recommended calorie intake depends on your gender, age, weight, height and activity level. 1500 calories a day allow most people reach healthy weight loss goals.
