How many calories should I consume a day to lose weight?

I weight 163 pounds and 5’9”. Im trying to loose weight to get an 8-pack. I can see the outline of them but I still got fat around them. I got 2 jobs and I am physically active.How many calories should I eat a day?

    take out 500 calories from ur normal calorie intake in a week u will loose a pound

    Each day you probably eat 2,500 now. Try to eat often but only eat low calorie foods. AIm for a 1.900-2,000 cals a day.
    To lose a pound you must burn more than you eat. Each pound lost means burning 3,500 cal. without just eating the amount you just burned.

    If a snack has over 120 cal. its not a snack its a meal!

    currently you need around 1600-1700 so to lose weight i would say eat around 1500-1550.

    Also drink alot of cold water and cut out the soda, or atleast switch to diet.

    all you need to do is hit the gym,,,get a low carb diet and get lean…you dont need to be skinny to look good. its so easy to see weight loss just by dieting right and running or treadmill for atleast 300 calories which is equivilent to tredmill/23-31mins bycycle=22-25mins….look i do this every day. You should be able to burn 10 calories per minute,.. just take it slow
    wakeup- eat a bowl of special K serial.
    snake at around 10 apple, granola,
    lunch12- eat a salad and a sandwhich. make sure its a salad with something, tuna, chicken
    snake a banana or sometype of carbs(good Carbs)
    after work-home nice lean dinner( turkey breast, veggies, patatoes, salad)
    then after this maybe a small fruit.
    eat as much wheat bread as you like with your meals, i usualy eat 1-2 slices….
    AS YOU SEE I EAT ALOT BUT IT BALANCES OUT…I GO TO THE GYM EVERY NIGHT AROUND 8 AND WORK OUT FOR 1HR. THATS ALL YOU NEED. AND THROUOUT THE DAY ALL I DRINK IS WATER,…NO SODA, JUICE, MAINLY WATER, OH AND THE MILK FOR BREAKFAST…. AVOID SUGAR SNACKS, TREATS,
    BUT ITS OK TO CHEAT 1 TIME EVERY 2 WEEKS. MAYBE A BIG MAC,. NOT EVERYDAY THOUGH

    if you want to weight 180 pounds, then eat 1800 calories – good balanced diet and exercise, drink water ( minimum daily requirements is 8 – 8oz glasses)

    weight 165 pounds – 1650 calories ;
    weight 160 pounds – 1600 calories ;

    our bodies need a good balance of a variety of foods, a good 7 grain bread ; nuts ; raisins ; fruits ; cereals – the kinds that are not full of sugars ; green veggies ; yellow veggies ; beans / legumes ; peanut butter – a good one that’s not full of sugar ; as for meats – chicken ; fish – salmon is best – tuna is also good ; beef – which has less than 20% fat content ; you can spice foods up with seasonings and make them taste better, but be very careful of how much salt you eat – always less than 3000 mg daily , if you average it to 1,000 mg per meal that would be best. And don’t forget to drink your water, the water helps the body flush all the bad stuff from our system and keeps the body / organs functioning properly.

    no soda pop / cokes ; coffee ; tea – unless its herbal tea ; no beer / alcohol ; no chips / cookies / cakes / pies / candy’s ;

    get at least 30 minutes of walking in a day – a good fast walk rather than a slow one, the average speed of a good fast walk is 4 miles an hour – so 2 miles in half an hour , but if you are not used to walking fast it will take your body time to get used to it and get that fast, and don’t over do it, you don’t want to pass out – set a pace, if you need to stop and take a 5 minute rest.

    walking is the absolute best exercise for our bodies!

    working and being physically active is great, but you still need to walk for exercise, walking also helps relieve daily stress.
