How many calories should I consume per day to lose weight?

I am 240 pounds and 5’10. I just started p90x and was wondering how many calories per day I should eat to lose weight. My eventual goal for the program is to lose 40 pounds, this doesn’t necessarily have to happen the first round, but I need an estimate for calories.

    Well, if you want to loose body fat, then I suggest you follow the Phase one fat shredder diet. You don’t have to follow a meal plan of any kind, you just have to eat the right amounts of each kind of food it tells you to(which is real easy by the way). on the diet guide, try doing phase 1 on level 1(which is arooun 1800 calories) or level 2(which is around 2400 calories). But remember…Do not eat bad food!
