How do I use protein powder?
I bought Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein Powder. I want to use it to increase my muscle mass so that I can perform better(I do martial arts).. I’m also hoping that since muscle burns calories more quickly, that I can loose a little weight. When should I take the protein shake? Before and after a workout? Or just after a workout?

I hope you’re using soya based protein supplements because the other ones can cause serious health problems.

The human body wasn’t made to store protein like carbs. Instead, you should take it after you workout and during each meal you eat.
Everytime you consume protein, it’s used to repair muscle and the body needs a constant supply since your body is repairing itself every second.
