any ideas on how to loose weight, besides the carb diet?

Does anybody have any suggestions that you can loose weight rather quickly, other than the low card bone. I just don’t do good with no carbs. Potatoes are my favorite food. My husband comes home from iraq in about a month and a half, and I do know that it wont matter to him, he will just be glad to be home, but I really do want to loose it for myself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    google a calorie needs calculator online and find out how many calories you need to maintain your weight, then subtract 250 calories from your daily intake and eat that much a day, as for another 250 calories, burn that in excercise, that’s a total of 500 loss of calories each day which helps you lose weight in a healthy, slow and sure way.
    make sure you have 6 small meals a day, eat every 3-4 hours (even if its just a piece of celery) to keep your metabolism up and eat a well balanced diet, lean proteins, dairy, fruits, whole grains…all that stuff
