Is it possible to gain muscle mass without gaining fat as well?
Hey, im 22, and weigh around 147 pounds. I am training, and was told to eat around 4000 calories on the days that I work out, and around 2500-3000 calories on the days that I am not. I spent the last few years getting rid of 30 pounds of fat, and def dont want to gain that back. SO, is it possible to gain muscle mass without gaining excess fat?

Of course it is! You don’t gain fat by working out your muscles. Just make sure you aren’t eating too much. Don’t eat if you aren’t hungry 🙂

You should only eat 4000 calories if you’re SERIOUSLY working out hardcore and trying to build LOTS of muscle. If you are trying to do that, make sure the extra calories you take in are from protein.
