Firstly, know that losing 12 lbs (or even aiming for this) in seven days will probably slow down your metabolism and result in the weight gain x2 when you start eating normally again.
What kind of bet is this?
Starvation and overexercising is the cheapest, most predictable way and of course the worse.

the first 3-4 weeks are the hardest until your boy adjusts to the change.

Fruits and Veggies
Eat more plants and keep away from stuff that was made in plants.
don’t eat anything that comes in a can, box or package…THEY HAVE ADDITIVES IN THEM THAT MAKE YOU ADDICTED TO THE FOOD
If man made it, don’t eat it
Stay away from FAST FOOD
Walk your dog, or walk a friends dog
Don’t think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle change

Im not sure it is possible to lose that much but I’d do this:
-no carbs except green leafy veggies, broccoli & cauliflower
-only drink water & unsweetened green tea
-keep fats between 25-50g a day
-eat 1/2g-1g protein per pound of body weight daily
edit:
I forgot- do an hour of cardio a day and 2 total body weight workouts during the week. Try to walk (or ride a bike)as much as you can to get around instead of driving your car.

obviously not eating anyhting, exercising loads
but then you could use diuhretics…
but theyre kinda nasty.
and drink lots of water
other wise you will retain any water you do drink
and be stored as water wieght
so just drink loads and your body will not feel the need to keep it in you.
