How can I lose weight fast without diet pills?

I’ve been having a hard time losing weight, I’ve tried exercising for 45 min a day and it won’t help much, does anyone know of any home remedies for weight loss or anything of that matter.

Amphetamines. I lost a lot of weight while I was them, and the side effects weren’t too bad other than dry mouth, and occasional irritability. Concerta, Ritalin, Adderall are all examples of amphetamines, and they are prescribed to children, usually for ADD and ADHD.

There is no “get thin quick” secret. There are things that you could do that will make you lose weight fast… but things like crash diets and working out until you pass out are bad for your body and you will only gain it back. I know this from experience.

My best tips are to eat several small healthy meals throughout the day, your body need fuel, if you don’t feed it enough your body will think something is wrong and will try to store the food in case of emergency. When this happens you wont lose a pound. Change up your exercise routine every other day, work out your whole body, and keep active as much as possible during the day.

It’s not fast but it will work. Also set small goals. Try to lose 10 pounds in the next 30 days. The another 10 next month. It IS a process, there is no magic pill. And remember soda is not your friend.

I recommend the six week Eat To Live plan found here: http://fatfreevegan.com/blog/2010/01/01/eat-to-live-6-week-plan/

It concentrates on eating mostly nutrient dense foods so that your body will get the nutrition it needs and craves. It just so happens that the most nutrient dense foods are the lowest in calories, so you will lose weight.

The plan lists food to avoid and foods you can eat in unlimited amounts.

It works! I did it last year and lost 40 pounds and I have kept it off for an entire year [because I continue to follow the plan].

For the full details get the book, Eat To Live by Joel Fuhrman, MD. Just follow the link at Yahoo! Shopping to the Amazon website and read all the customer testimonials. This makes total sense. It may not be easy in the beginning but once you lose your addiction to the standard American diet it is much easier.

Exercise will certainly help and will shorten the time it will take to lose the weight but I did it without exercise. I do need to exercise however.

For me the weight came off fast but it may not for everyone. My wife has lost 45 pounds but still has 15 more pounds to go. The important thing is to not give up. It is OK to cheat once in a while as long as it is a rare exception and is not done to excess. You have to be consistent. Also while the six week plan says no animal products this is not true of the permanent plan. You may eat limited animal foods a couple times a week, if you feel you must. You must avoid anything processed and you must concentrate on eating a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables both raw and cooked.

Just remember, whatever you decide to do if it is a temporary diet or fitness program it will have only temporary results. You must make permanent changes in order to reap permanent rewards. Are you ready for that?

If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn).

Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. Use a calorie calculator – http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week.

Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you’ll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. You can find some more information at the Straight Health Forums – http://forums.straighthealth.com

Limit(don’t cut at first) your carbs. The more you limit the faster it’ll come off.
Drink LOTS of water. It flushes out your system. Also if you drink it you won’t be hungry all the time.
Do cardio AND muscle toning workouts. If you just do cardio at then end you’ll have a LOT of flab depending on how much you lost.
Try eating 6 SMALL meals a day.
Even though it’s popular, skip “dessert”. It’s something not needed every time you eat. Occasionally it’s good.
Do NOT reward your weight loss with food.
Do NOT wait to eat until your hungry. If you do, you’ll eat more.

    PLEASE READ THIS IF ANYTHING!

Hard to believe, but it’s true.
When you buy groceries–buy the REAL product, not sugar free, not low-fat.
When you buy the low-fat ect… kind your mind tends to think like, “Well since it’s fat free, a couple more won’t hurt…” THAT’S FALSE!
If you over eat low-fat stuff it’s just as bad as overeating on the real kind.

If anything, I say try to go for skim milk. Yeah, it’s watery to many, but that’s all in your head. I hated skim when I was 12, but now I drink nothing but skim. I trained myself to like it.

Best of luck to you. 😉
