How should I go about gaining muscle?
Okay, so I am tired of being scrawny. I am 5 foot 11, and weigh 140 pounds. I want to gain some muscle though I do not want to be huge or anything. I just don’t know what to do, and I have very limited resources. The town I live in doesn’t even have a gym.
I am turning 18 in a couple weeks if that helps.

Diet. Increase your calories and burn them by working out. Make sure you have high protien intake to keep the weight muscle and not fat. No cardio work out for you. Low reps heavier weight(2-3 sets). Not too heavy where you can not get one repitition but heavy enough to reach failure on your 3rd set. If you do not reach failure go up in weight.

ok dont do whatever that dood above me said……heres what you do because i know it works cuz i play football and my friend tried a meal plan and he gained 18 lbs of muscle in a couple weeks.
what you do is for breakfast eat about 6 eggs toast oatmeal etc just load up on carbs and protein( muslces feed on protein) then lunch and dinner follow the same thing just load up on carbs and protein and eat a lot of peanut butter and jely sammys and then while ur not busy eating you should be working out HARD and if u cant hit the weights RUN RUN RUN and trust me it works if u stick to it but u gotta work out and run because if u eat all that with out workin out youll get fat as hell
where do you live?

I know how you feel, and i am the same way. (Skinny) The other day i got tired of it as well. The best way to build muscle is by going out to a store such as Wal Mart, and buying some weights. If you can’t afford weights than you should do many “crunches” (Which do help with ABS, don’t listen to the T.V.), go jogging (To build stanima and leg strength), Pull ups (Builds upper body muscle) and when you have to lift a heavy object such as packages of water, or if you want to make your own weights. You could take a bucket and fill it with cement (about 1/4) than curl that. Than if that becomes light than fill it alittle more. After awile you should start to build some good muscle. But since you are doing it so late in your life, you wont be able to become extreamly muscular like some body builders. Hope this helped.

Well if you jack off it builds a lot of arm muscle.
Unless you’re a chick, then just give out free handjobs.
You’ll make a lot of friends!

If you can afford them buy some free weights – they aren’t that expensive. If you can’t afford the weights you can just work out lifting your own body. Try:
Push ups (with practice you should be able to do lots and lots)
Squats
Short sprints (makes you thighs bigger)
Pull-ups (if you can find something to pull-up on. A swing set will generally work)
If you can’t get a entire free weight setup, just get some dumb bells with at least 75 lbs (adjustable). Do lots of curls.
Don’t over-eat, but try eating a bit more food that is high in protein.
Finally, don’t get upset if you just get real strong and wiry but not much bigger. A lot of people just have that sort of body chemistry. If you do, you’ll be happy about it when you are about 28.
