I feel like my weight loss has stalled even though I am continuing to diet and excersize what should I do?

I’m following an under 1,500 calorie diet plan, only non processed healthy foods- I literally haven’t had any candy, ice-cream, potato chips or other processed foods in about four weeks. The most indulgent thing I’ve eaten recently would be 2 slices of bread with a tablespoon of honey shared between the two, and I’ve cut that out since the weightloss stalled.

(so far today I’ve had Quaker Delightful Hazelnut Latte Oatmeal for breakfast and an activia Strawberry Yogurt smoothie for a snack, I will have a big salad with tomatoes and cucumber and bacon bits for lunch with 3 tbsp Ranch dressing and for dinner I’ll have a 4oz lean steak with 1/2 slice provolone cheese, onions and bell peppers with broccoli on the side and if I still feel hungry I will have some honey roast almonds)

I also excersize I’ve been daily using the Walk at Home 2 mile set along with strength training and I’ve also added in Jillian Micheals 30 Day shred, but I just started that today so I don’t know how effective that will be and I’m only on the first stage.

I started out loosing weight fairly quickly 10 pounds in the first 3 weeks but it feels like i’ve just hit a rut or something I think I look better but the scale isn’t going down anymore.

I need to fix this so I can stay motivated and stay away from the Ben and Jerry’s!

It will do, your body gets used to the amount of exercise you are doing. The best way to kick start it again is to either increase the exercise or to change the type you are doing for 3 weeks and then return to what you are doing now. Try weights instead of cardiovascular exercise and your body will increase the metabolism and then you can swap back.
Whatever you get into a routine of doing, your body adapts and gets used to it, just as with your diet.
    Hope this helps!

Try mixing up your diet with different foods, same goes for your exercises. At some point you will start to grow muscle which will be heavier than fat, the tick is to lose body fat and start replacing it muscle. As far as eating you may not be getting enough and your body may be storing food for when it needs it.

Well sometimes the reason why you lose so much weight at first, is because your body isn’t used to going through a diet or a certain work out plan, therefore, your body has to work harder hence you burn more calories and lose more weight.

After a while though, your body becomes stronger and the workouts don’t seem as strenuous, correct? This is because your body has gotten used to the same routine and it doesn’t have to work as hard as it did in the beginning. I’d suggest to give your workout more of a challenge, this will definitely help. Workout faster, or longer. Do more repetitions, etc…hope this helps!

your doing a great job stay on track and don’t get discouraged . its good you are adding a new work out because that is what you need . FACT: the more weight you lose the harder it gets to keep losing weight. the first ten pounds probably was water weight and some fat you lost . but now that your thinner you must work twice as hard just to lose the same or maybe even less weight than before.
