Normal diet is 2,000 calories. If you eat 1,200 you should lose weight no problem.

between 1200 (being the least you should eat no less!) with your hight being 5ft 7 i would say arround 1500-1800 calories. remember to burn at least 1hundred of those off a day or more if you wish. good luck! 😀

It really depends on how active you are. Taking in 1,200-1,500 calories daily will probably help you lose weight. However, the easy way is to burn more calories than you take in. Good luck!

Any amount less than what you are taking in now. Combine a reduction in calories with exercise and you should lose 15-20 lbs in about a month.

Do NOT listen to us. Do NOT follow some low Carb or fad diet.

My best advice is the join corny old Weightwatchers. Diets do not work — learning how to eat right and exercise as you get older does work. BUT not some quick fix and then back to eating anything you want. Thats how the old weight elevator (UP,DOWN,UP) gets started.

There are websites that can help you calculate the exact number, based on your height, weight, and level of physical activity. The number will also depend on how quickley you want to lose the weight.

Just google “calorie intake calculator” for a number of different options…

Also consider looking up the number of calories in the foods you are eating. You might be surprised. There are also websites that can tell you how many calories you burn during certain activities. I’m not saying you should make it an exact science- but if you can estimate these things then you have a much better chance at successful weight loss!

If you’re working out and on a diet, then you shouldn’t have a problem. As long as you know you’re burning more calories than you are taking in, then you’ll lose some weight. On the other hand, active people or those with high metabolism can consume more calories and maintain or lose weight.
