When losing weight, is it loss of fat or loss of muscle?
If I were to lose 10 pounds, would that be loss of fat or muscle? Also, do you know an easy way to lose 10 pounds in less than one month? Preferably diet plans that are inexpensive and easy to follow.

It depends how you lose it, if you starve yourself you will lose muscle, but if you reduce what you eat and eat right and exercise you will gain muscle andd lose fat. I have gained weight and lost inches on my waist, weight means nothing when dieting right.

definitely fat. your body does not burn away muscle until all the fat is gone. there is only one way to lose weight, no gimmicks and very inexpensive: eat less and healthier, and exercise more. it doesn’t get easier than that 🙂

well you have to loose weight when you exercise and when you exercise you gain muscle so if you’re on a diet you can loose muscle if you don’t exercise.

Loss of fat, assuming you go on a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Actually, if you do it right, you should gain a couple pounds in muscle mass, and lose more in fat. Depending on your weight, it could be very unhealthy to lose 10 pounds in one month. Make sure you eat ealthy foods, decrease the amount of extra fats, sugar, etc. that you are eating, and exercise regularly. Good luck!

You would lose fat if you are eating in a balanced way and exercising moderately. For diet, eat green vegetables (spinach, kale, cabbage, lettuce) and fish. For exercise, walk 45 minutes to an hour a day, without exception. Drink 8 glasses of water each day.

Well muscle is heavier then fat, so if you are muscular as it is dont get confused and think you need to loose 10 pounds because the scale says your too heavy. As long as you work out your muscles with easy strength excerises like lunges, when you loose weight you should still keep the muscle.

Usually the most weight lost at the start of the ‘diet’ is water weight. To stop this you need to make sure you drink lots of water everyday, as you will become less thirsty because you are eating less.
A good way to lose weight permanently is to change your lifestyle. Eat less and smaller meals more often, eat healthier and exercise. Fad diets are always temporary and offer a short term solution but when you start eating normally again the weight piles back on and usually more.
If you exercise whilst losing weight from less and healthier eating, you will still retain muscle and the fat should drop off and you should tone up.
If you don’t exercise you will still have layers of fat, you will look thin but you wont be toned.

You mostly lose fat but if you do not exercise you are also losing some muscle. The best way to lose 10 lbs in one month would be to eat multiple small balanced meals about 3 hours apart. Drink lots of water! Exercise daily. Do abs and cardio everyday. Alternate days with upper body and lower body work outs. Take a break every 4th or 5th day to give your body a chance to rest and build muscle. Good luck!!!

It would likely be fat. Actually building up muscle can help you lose fat because muscle tissue burns more calories than fat. As far as losing 10 pounds in less than a month, it’s really not healthy. Any weight loss more than 2 pounds per week isn’t good for your body.
The best diet is not to diet, but to change your lifestyle permanently. Temporary changes will only result in temporary weight loss. It’s really all what we have all heard. Eat less white bread/potatoes/chips/rice and more whole grains/fruits/veggies and lean proteins. Cut back on sugar and salt. Drink water instead of high calorie drinks. Regular aerobic exercise and strength training. Wear a pedometer and make sure you are walking 10,000 steps or more per day. Also, write down everything you eat, every single bite. It makes you a lot more accountable and might help you find where you are taking in extra calories you don’t need.

fat, since youd be increasing muscle
for a healthy weight loss plan, do this:
– lots and lots of cardio, ex. biking, treadmill, swimming, etc, which is essential to fat loss
– also dont forget to do muscle toning excersisez – very important as well!
– if you have extra time do yoga to increase bloodflow and overall well being
eat;
– whole grains, ex. whole wheat bread, pasta (not alot), rice, etc
– dairy foods – ex. milk, some low-fat (not fat-free, otherwise youll miss out on healthy fat), etc
– yogurt, low fat
– drink lots of water to stay moisturized and full of energy
– and of course, lots of fruits and veggies as snacks
