You should have started this quest before school was out. Remember we did not put on our weight overnight and it won’t come off overnight. Get moving – walking, running, bicycling, take a dance class, do something!

    Eat Healthy
    Drink water
    No eating ‘crap” food!

The person who is telling you to “only eat this” and “only eat that” is helping you to begin a life long journey with an eating disorder. Trust me, I’ve been there. You need to consult with a doctor about your weight. Your doctor can help you develop a plan that will help you to lose weight slowly and in a healthy way. When people lose weight too fast, they tend to put it right back on. I’ve done it and all of my friends have done it too. You have to completely change your eating habits and your fitness habits. Walking will help. Start off slowly then increase a little bit at a time. I don’t know your fitness level but if you never ever exercise, try to walk bristly for at least 20-30 minutes for the first week, then add five minutes each week. If that’s too easy, walk for a longer period of time. You will be amazed at your progress. I used to be a overweight kid with asthma in middle school. Now I am running half marathons. I developed my fitness level over the course of years. Try to fill up on lean proteins, like baked/grilled chicken and fish. Lean poultry and beef is good too. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. The more sauce and cheese that are on things, the worse they are for you. You can still have the things you really want, just only once in a while and in small portions. Don’t deprive yourself of you will go crazy. Talk to your parents about your new food and fitness choices or try to find an adult that will be supportive of you. Good luck!
