What is the best bicycle speed/gear for fat loss/muscle gain?

I have a 6 speed bike. What’s the best number to put it on?

    It isn’t the gear, it’s the time you spend on the bike and frequency that you ride. You can overdo it, so start slow. Try the middle gears, 3 or 4. Ride for 30 minutes 3-4 times per week, alternating the days. On the other days, do something else like walking or yoga. Lift free weights if you want to lift weights, or if you have no weights, just do sit ups, push ups, squats and lunges. You use your own body weight as resistance, so it’s the same thing as lifting weights. Give it a couple of months and you should see results. Trust your mirror and your clothes fitting/clothes size, not the scale, because muscle weighs more than fat. It is possible to gain weight and become smaller and fitter. Good luck.
