What are the best exercises to burn fat and not gain muscle?

Crunches and stuff don’t really burn fat, they just build muscle, which makes the midsection look even bigger. How can I burn fat and not gain a ton of muscle. I’m 18 5’3″ and 170 (yes I’m fat I know). I eat just over a 1000 calories a day and I still gain weight and inches!

    Jogging – this will tone your calfs, and butt while burning calories! It is one of the most efficient excercises for weight loss. The key is doing it consistently. Start out with as many minutes per day as you can, but if you keep doing if for weeks, you’ll see results 🙂
