Should i lift weights in order to lose weight if im not going to grow tall?

I’m 5’1, i weigh 135 pounds and i want to lose 30 pounds. How can i lose the weight and what workouts should i do to lose the weight? I am 13 years old.

    i take it that you are male. males grow until they are in their early 20s. You still have plenty of time to grow. Running is good if you want to lose weight. Lift heavy weights low rep to put on muscle. Lift light weight high rep to define. Eat six small healthy meals a day eat proteins (chicken, lean beef like steak, bison and fish are good too) and healthy carbs about a fist size portion. Become a gym rat buy some weights or join a gym or workout at school. Girls will dig you if are ripped.
