How many calories to lose and then maintain lost weight?

I’m 6’3 205 pounds and I walk on the treadmill 4 days a week for 1 hour a day. I’m trying to lose 15-20 pounds. How many calories should I eat to lose one pound a week? Once I lose the weight, how many calories can I eat to maintain that weight?

You need to be at about 1,900 calories if you are a female and around 2,100 for a male. Absolutely NO more than that. You will lose the 20 that you need and then stall out around 180. To lose more after that you can increase your workouts to every day..or cut back another 100 calories per day. But you have about 6 months until you have to worry about that.

    Hello!

If you want to lose weight the healthy way you should learn how to properly cut calories. I suggest cutting about 400-500 calories a day from your current diet (usually this means just cut out a snack or two). To answer your second question, maintain it will be easy; just eat an extra 300-400 calories (extra apple, or any fruit/vegetable of you choice). I hope that helps you answer your quesstion; for more information on losing weight you should check out http://loseweight-info.blogspot.com/
