Anyone gotten their medical insurance to pay for dental implants?
I need an implant since I’m missing a tooth, and my dental insurance doesn’t cover implants. I’ve heard that occasionally people have gotten their medical insurance to pay for implants. Has anyone tried this? If so, who is your insurance company? Any tips? Thanks!

Hi there,
I just had a tooth extracted about a month and a half ago, and am going to be getting an implant in the near future, and our dental (not medical) insurance does cover part of the cost. There is still going to be some money out of pocket, but I think they cover about half of the cost if I’m not mistaken. We have Metlife Dental PPO through my husband’s work and it’s at the highest level. I know different employers offer different packages, so I don’t know how easy it is to customize it to your needs, but you should definitely check into it because dental work isn’t cheap!!! Hope this helped 🙂
