What does a low carb diet consist of exactly?

I’m confused about what carbs are and what aren’t…They say to eat a low carb diet if you want to lose weight..what are some low carb foods?

Also, is it true that it takes 3 weeks for the body to get in a fat-burning mode? Because I want to lose 5 pounds this upcoming 3 weeks or so.. I read losing 1-2 pounds per week is recommended and healthy right?

    Go to you can compare the top three diets, one which is a low carb diet. It should give you a better idea of what is a better choice. Plus when you do exercises try doing a circuit routine, it is easy to get used to and effective.

    If your just beginning a diet and you can stay to it you can easily lose 5lbs in three weeks. Of course cardio workouts will help a lot too. Low carb diets require high amounts protein. Foods like meat. Also salads are a good choice. Drinking alot of water helps as well initially you may retain water weight but soon you that will stop and the water will help you feel fuller and it has no calories.

    I consider low-carbing to be this: You eat pretty much the same as usual, but cut out any food that is a seed, (except green beans) potatoes, bread, sweets. If you normally eat a meat and 2-3 veg, make sure you’re eating green foods. Greens, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

    Oh, and as you use up the sugar you have stored up, it will release water, so you’ll pee a lot for a day or 2.

    Low carb = meat, eggs, green veg, nuts, berries. (healthy!)

    You will lose weight in the first week. But it may take 2-3 weeks to adapt to a low carb intake, and adjust to using more fat as fuel.

    In the first weeks you may get headaches, or a slight feeling of nausea, as your body adjusts to not receiving white, processed carbs, candy etc…

    But you will still lose weight while your metabolism adjusts.
