What kind of health plan do rich people use?

I’m a middle class student on my parent’s employer provided health plan: Kaiser Permanente, a large HMO. I don’t know much about the health care system. I’m just aware of university provided health care as another alternative. So I’m curious what kind of plan do rich people use?

The few rich people I know use HMOs, too. Where I live, the biggie is Blue Cross/Blue Shield. When they have the option, they may choose the BCBS plan where the person who uses medical services pays the highest deductible and/or co-pay (since they can afford it), keeping the monthly payment the lowest. Essentially, they’re betting on their own good health.

Of course, if they have a pre-existing condition and can anticipate medical expenses because of it, they may choose other versions.

It is simple life, simple food, simple manners and simple life style that is the best health plan for all the human beings on this earth.
When you get addicted to something, you start spending more than otherwise. Some people consider it as a better standard of living.
And, in this backdrop, the rich, in general, consider the poor and the middle class to be incapable of indulging in some of the habits that they pursue.
And, thus, they travel in a class which is costly, drink costly wine, smoke costly cigarettes and enjoy costly women and consider themselves worthy of it. It is only their feeling that they enjoy a life costlier than the rest.
But, in actual fact, it is not so. If you can avoid such temptations and tendencies and live simple and keep up your health, you are richer than the richest. No other health plan can improve your life better.

Blue Cross Blue Shield is completely awful. I don’t know what the rich people use but I have FirstCare and they are excellent!

Hello, I’m not sure how you define “rich,” but high-end policies are either 80/20 plans (and the wealthy can afford the 20% they pay), low-deductible plans, or plans their corporations write themselves and are provided free to them. They have the freedom to go to any doctor they choose, anywhere in the country. However, that’s still a lot running around. Personally, I’ve been with Kaiser for 20 years and if you’re willing to be an advocate for your health care, Kaiser is the best HMO out there, and it’s under one roof.
