will i be able to get medical insurance in cyprus as i am diabetic?
i am emigrating to cyprus, will i be able to get private medical insurance as i am diabetic and will i have to pay for my insulin and needles. also do i have to pay for medical prescriptions as i am a lady of 60 years of age. Thank you

You can get medical insurance but it will not cover you for anything to do with pre-existing illnesses and at your age will therefore be of no value whatsoever. You are better off saving in a medical savings plan like HSA (not sure they cover Cyprus but worth a try). Regards your insulin I would suggest you write or speak to the Cyprus Consulate in London and get a formal response. However, as Cyprus has joined the EEC you will get basic EU medical provision.
