Will changing my diet help me lose weight?

I have a pretty awful diet at the moment. I rarely eat vegetables or fruit, instead I eat some fried food, cheese, sweets crisps etc. Rather than drinking water I drink diluting juice instead. If I swap junk food for healthier food such as fruit and vegetables and start drinking more water will this help me lose weight? Please only answer if you actually know what you’re talking about.
I didn’t ask if it was the “miracle cure” I asked if it would HELP me lose weight, not make me lose weight period. Please read the question fully before answering.

yes changing your diet can help you lose weight – basically to lose weight your calorie intake must be lower than calories burned off. I joined Slimming World and lost 3 stones in 6 months mainly by changing my diet – eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, potatoes, pasta, rice, lean meat and cutting out junk food.

    worked for me.

    Good luck

It will “help,” but it’s not the miracle cure to lose weight. You should also exercise, those two combined will probably do it. And take vitamins, they’ll help you feel better–maybe just a once a day. If you’re not up for a big run once a day and some sit ups and push ups, consider changing your diet and going to smallsteps.gov (you may have to google that to get the right site). It’s a list of small things you can change about your daily routine to improve your health and lose weight!

You’ve answered your own question! You know you have a bad diet, so of course you should switch to a healthier one. Cutting out ’empty calories’ will help you lose weight – one thing for sure if you carry on with your present diet you will never lose weight.

This is a good article to help you learn what not to eat –

    Yes, it will !
Healthier foods will have less fat in it as well as salt.
Exerciseing will help alot as well 🙂

Calorie intake = BMI (height x weigth) + Working energy

    BMI – basal metabolic rate
Working energy is the energy you need and use in day to do basic avtivies.
But don’t just cut down on calories becasue thats the energy you need to live as well 😉
So you eat less calories than you burn in a day you will loose weight
after 12 minutes of running you start to burn fat.
I know you didnt ask about exercise but the best way to loose weight is exercise and a healthy balanced diet 🙂 so combine them and you will loose weight. I have heard water contains no calories and helps to wash out your system. i have also heard diet coke is good because its low calorie and fizzy so keeps you fuller 🙂
    Good luck 🙂

Start immediately to drink at least a gallon of pure water each day. Make the water as cold as you can stand it. The colder it is, the more calories your body will burn just warming it up. Add lemon or lime juice for better taste but don’t add any sugar or artificial sweeteners.
