It bloats you out and make you less lightly to eat. I personally don’t think it aids weight loss.

when you are hydrated you feel more energised and alert so you feel up to doing active things but when your dehydrated you feel sluggish so you end up just sitting around instead of being active and being active is important if you want to lose weight

being well hydrated means you are less likely to suffer from water retention which of course can add a few pounds.
The main reason drinking plenty can help weight loss – is that many hunger pangs are actually down to thirst. By the time you actually feel thirsty (dry mouth etc) you are already dehydrated! You get pangs similar to those of being hungry first. So by drinking plenty you will probably eat less as you are less likely to get these mistaken hunger pangs.

Yes it makes us feel full.
And it is also believed that cold water raises metabolic rate because the body has to spend energy to warm the water to body temperature.
The best effect is in exercising:
“Studies have shown that when athletes become dehydrated during training or competition, their muscles begin to use more carbohydrates and less fat for fuel. The same goes for non-athletes as well.”
It is also believed that simple H2O can help you burn more fat. For one, dehydrated individuals experience a drop in resting metabolic rate (the number of calories they burn in a day).

Yes. It flushes out accumulated toxins from your body so your organs will be able to function more efficiently, thus resulting in a higher metabolism.

-Researchers in Germany report that water consumption increases the rate at which people burn calories.
-dehydration slows down the fat-burning process.
-Water helps maintain muscle tone by assisting muscles in their ability to contract, and it lubricates your joints. Proper hydration can help reduce muscle and joint soreness when exercising.
I recommend drinking lukewarm water an hour before eating. It makes you feel full..

So before, during and after exercise it is very important to drink plenty of water. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends drinking 8 to16 ounces of fluid before exercise, at least 4 ounces every 15-20 minutes while working out, and then at least 24 ounces afterwards.
