What should my calorie intake be to lose weight?

I’m 175-180 pounds and I’m trying to lose some weight.

I’ve started to do a minimum of an hour of cardio 7 days a week (30 minutes treadmill & 30 minutes elliptical) with addition to weight training 3 times a week. I also take some exercise classes during the week such as a step class and a body flow.

I drink lots of water & am getting more sleep than ever! My only problem is how many calories i need a day to make it possible to loose some weight. Thanks so much!

    1800 a day should eventually get you down to 150. If you want to get less than 150, then you would have to eat less than 1800.

    1000-1200 depending. doign that you should easily be able to burn off 3-5 pounds a week. i burnt off 50 pounds by doing this. good luck to you.

    With 500 calories and all the exercise you’re doing you’ll pass out!
    Like another person said, to lose weight you have to burn more than you take in. For example, if you ate 1,000 calories, and you burned 600 with work-outs, you would only have 400 calories in you, which means that you burned more than you took in. Depending on how much you burn a day, you’ll probably need somewhere between 1000 and 1500 calories daily. Hope I helped!

    That is way too much exercise, yeah there is such a thing!! Your body usually gives up and gets tired after approximately 30 – 45 minutes 5 days a week. So sudden bursts of exercise at the same time each week will do more than good than exercising an hour a day and then whenever you can fit exercise in. Don’t go sleeping all the time either – 4 – 7 hours a night is the recommended level. Cut out all snacks as well unless its going to be an apple or something boring/healthy like that! Most classes are designed to tone and improve muscle definition so if you are wanting to do classes, something like Yoga or Pilates may be better.

    plus its not about how many Calories you should intake to loose weight, Calories are needed to produce energy levels you can calculate this here;

    If you intake the necessary calories then your weight will go the way you want it too but if you eat less, its going to do more harm than good.
