What percentage of fat calories are burned during a given workout?

For example, if I burn about 1,200 calories in an hour on an elliptical machine, is there a way I can figure out exactly how many of those calories are fat calories?

    A lot of it depends on the intensity you are working at. Going slower generally burns a higher percentage of fat, but fewer overall calories. Working out at a hihger intensity means as a percentage fewer of your calories burned will come from fat, but since you burn more calories total you may burn more fat. You can be burning anywhere from 40-70% of your calories from fat.
