Fat calories is calories from fat. You should limit the calories you get from fat versus the calories from other foods. Saturated fat is not healthy, but the other two mon and poly are ok.

A calorie is a calorie, no matter what the source. It is better for you if you consume calories from food which also provides the nutrients you need.

All calories count. People dont want to eat alot of fat so they look at the fat content. Here is a breakdown of the caloric number.

    1 gram carbs = 4 calories
    1 gram protein = 4 calories
    1 gram fat = 9 calories

So the fat calories are there just because of the FDA.

All calories count, but most calories should not com from fat.

its just calories. “fat calories” are just the percentage of calories that come from fat. the number alone won’t tell you much, you want to look at the ratio between total calories and calories from fat. If more than 30% (?) of the calories come from fat, it’s not a very healthy choice.

    *not sure of the percentage.

fat calories is the number of the calories in your food that is pure fat. It is because Fat contains about 9 Calories/g of food energy. Protein, sugar, and starch contain about 4 Calories/g, while alcohol contains about 7 Calories/g.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends that a maximum of 30 percent of our daily calories come from fat. So, if you eat 2,000 calories a day, that’s a maximum of 600 calories from fat, or 67 grams of fat, per day. However, many doctors and nutritionists now set the maximum number of fat calories at 25 percent of our daily caloric intake. That’s 56 grams of fat per day for a 2,000 calorie diet.
This information is mainly for nutritionists and doctors, but also good for your own interest and information.

Calories are a measure of energy. “Fat calories” are just a type of calories. If something has 100 calories and 20 fat calories, it doesn’t mean it has 120 total calories. It just means that, of the 100 calories, 20 of them are from fat.

In terms of which you should worry about, it depends your diet. It’s not a good idea to cut out fat entirely. Our bodies need fat. If you’re trying to lose weight, it’s the total calories that matter in the end – though many diets will talk about about cutting out certain types of food. If you exercise and eat a balanced diet, you won’t need to ‘worry’ about any kind of calories. 🙂

Calories are calories regardless of where they come from. You need calories, but it depends on the source.

Fat calories are the calories you get from the fat content of the food alone. So if you get 25% of the calories from fat, that means there’s a good amount of fat in that serving and you might reconsider buying or eating it.

So worry about both. If there’s too many calories in it, see how much of that is from fart and how much of that is just from other sources.

there is only one type of calories lol and if u worry about fat this is how you read it for an example if something has
    FAT 15%
    (trans 5%)
    (sat fat 2%)
add the ones in brackets together and that is the bad fat in it 15-6 = 9 there is only 9 percent of good fat u need

First of all fat calories are just with a lower case c. calories is with a capital C.

calories- fat and energy from food.
Calories- the amount of energy used to raise water one degree.

well it’s the amount of calories per gram. you get approximately 4calories per gram of carbohydrates, 7 per gram of protein, 9 from fat, and 11 from alcohol. That would make alcohol the most fattening and carbohydrates the least, by comparison
