What is the best, fastest, easiest way to lose weight?

I’m a girl…All my life I have been overweight and I’ve decided that I’m tired of it. I want to lose weight but I don’t know what exercises are best. Please don’t answer with “consult/ask your doctor about this”. I want to know what is the easiest and fastest way to lose weight and how to keep it off. You could write a weekly exercise plan for me or just give me a few tips. Please Help!

I used to be fat, but I joined a gym. Still eat what you might normally eat, unless all you eat is either deep fried or drenched in rich sauces. Try to go to the gym at least 3 times a week for an hour. For even better results try Alli. I used Alli but I must warn you, you will HAVE TO change your diet for this to work. I lost 50 pounds by using Alli, eating better, and going to the gym weekly/daily depending on my schedule. Try weighing your self daily and keeping track of your weight.

Don’t eat processed food, don’t eat foods with lots of preservatives in them, eat fruits and veggies daily, and one more thing…

…when I started working for Barnes and Noble Booksellers years ago, I weighed 240. I had a Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule with four hours each day. After about a year of walking around helping people find their books as well as shelving books, I lost about 68 pounds. I even got a comment that I was looking too skinny (that was when I weighed 172).

So… walking a lot is a pretty good way to lose weight. But if you want to exercise more, why don’t you go to a gym and have someone help you out? I say that more because I don’t have good knowledge on how else to lose weight.

From my experience, cutting out simple sugars is the easiest way to lose weight. You definitely need carbohydrates, but you don’t need to get them from candy bars or soda. If you stay away from simple sugars you’ll notice a definite weight reduction, and you’ll save money. This can be difficult, as it means cooking meals for yourself, staying away from condiments and such. This also stabilizes you mood and energy level. Complex carbohydrates provide energy over a longer period, so you will also be hungry less frequently. Getting your carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables is also a good idea, as they have more vitamins than pasta’s and potatoes.

My girl-friend has had a horrible past with this stuff. She’s actually doing very well now, losing weight and exercising. All you need to do is eat a smaller amount of food than you do on a regular basis. No extreme dieting, nothing crazy. Just cut down on every meal you have. Try not to have so much bread, milk or even so many fruits. Remember all those calories/carbohydrates add up. Start having a yogurt for breakfast with a banana. For lunch make yourself a Tuna sandwich with Wheat Bread. For dinner, don’t eat any FULL sized meals with rice. Rice takes so long to digest and it’s a carb-bomb. Try selecting chicken & salad and other lower carb replacements. Remember, your body needs to break down the food you eat and then break down your fat in the body. Go on the treadmill for 45 mins a day, 4 times a week (NO MORE). If you don’t own a treadmill join a gym. If you don’t have money for a GYM, then simply go for a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood. Remember to take vitamins and starving yourself is the WORST thing anyone can possibly do to their body.

There is no quick fix, but here’s the best advice I can give you for healthy and sustainable weight loss:

Losing 1-2lbs a week is the best way to go. This way, you are losing mostly fat, rather than water and muscle. Faster weight loss is not better, nor is it sustainable.

Diet should be what you look at first for weight loss- this is what will enable you to drop fat. Try a balanced diet made up of mostly natural whole foods, with high protein, moderate carbs and moderate fats.

You need to know how many calories you burn- you can use an online calculator for a rough estimate. Aim for 10-20% calories fewer than you burn daily (too large a deficit will be counterproductive in the longer term).

Don’t worry about complicated diets or cutting things out. You can enjoy anything in moderation, as long as the majority of your diet is healthy. Here are some good foods to base your diet around:

    PROTEINS

    Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
    Tuna (water packed)
    Fish (salmon, seabass, halibut)
    Shrimp
Extra Lean Ground Beef or Ground Round (92-96%)
    Venison
    Buffalo
    Ostrich
    Protein Powder
    Egg Whites or Whole Eggs
    Ribeye Steaks or Roast
Top Round Steaks or Roast (aka Stew Meat, London Broil, Stir Fry)
Top Sirloin (aka Sirloin Top Butt)
Beef Tenderloin (aka Filet, Filet Mignon)
    Top Loin (NY Strip Steak)
    Flank Steak (Sir Fry, Fajita)
Eye of Round (Cube Meat, Stew Meat, Bottom Round , 96% LeandGround Round)
Ground turkey, Turkey Breast Slices or cutlets (fresh meat, not deli cuts)
    Soy Burgers
    Low-fat cottage cheese
    Nonfat Greek Yogurt

    SLOW BURNING/COMPLEX CARBS

Oatmeal (Old Fashioned or Quick Oats)
    Sweet Potatoes (Yams)
    Beans (pinto, black, kidney)
    Oat Bran Cereal
    Rye Cereal
    Grape Nuts
    Brown Rice
    Farina (Cream of Wheat)
    Multigrain Hot Cereal
    Whole wheat or Spinach Pasta
    100% Stoneground Whole Wheat Bread
    Ezekiel Bread
    Hi-Lo Cereal

    FIBROUS CARBS

Green Leafy Lettuce (Green Leaf, Red, Leaf, Romaine)
    Broccoli
    Asparagus
    String Beans
    Okra
    Spinach
    Bell Peppers
    Brussel Sprouts
    Cauliflower
    Cabbage
    Celery
    Cucumber
    Eggplant
    Green or Red Pepper
    Onions
    Pumpkin
    Garlic
    Tomatoes
    Zucchini

    FRUIT

    Apples
    Grapefruit
    Peaches
    Strawberries
    Blueberries
    Raspberries
    Lemons or Limes
    Pears

    HEALTHY FATS

    Natural Peanut Butter
    Olive Oil or Safflower Oil
    Nuts (peanuts, almonds)
    Flaxseed Oil
    Avocados
    Coconut Oil

    BEVARAGES

    Crystal Light
    Green Tea
    Other Tea (without sugar)
    Coffee (without sugar)

    CONDIMENTS

    Mayonnaise
    Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
    Reduced Sodium Teriyaki Sauce
    Balsamic Vinegar
    Salsa
    Hot Peppers and Hot Sauce
    Chili powder
    Mrs. Dash
    Steak Sauce
    Sugar Free Maple Syrup
    Chili Paste
    Mustard
    Extracts (vanilla, almond, etc )
Low Sodium beef or chicken broth
Plain or reduced sodium tomatoes sauce, puree, paste)
    Stevia (natural sweetener)

Second in importance to that is heavy resistance training- this is what will allow you to preserve muscle so you look ‘toned’ and defined once you’ve dropped the fat (rather than just a smaller version of how you look now, with the same bits you’re unhappy with). More muscle also means a higher metabolism, so you definitely want to hold on to, or increase the muscle base you have for fat loss. You need to work ALL your major muscle groups- you can’t spot reduce. Have a look at:
    http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html
This is an extensive exercise directory. There are many exercises for every muscle group and every ability level.

Then you can look at extras like cardio to help create a calorie deficit. But cardio is by far the least important of these three, and you can lose fat effectively without it.

Make sure you’re getting at least one rest day a week with no exercise at all.

Losing weight is significantly easier in theory then it is in practice. a daily caloric deficit of 500 calories will result in 1 pound of fat loss over the course of a week. 1-2lbs of weight loss is considered the ideal rate. Any more than that and you are 1. likely following unsafe practices and 2. likely to quickly regain it. Note that you have been overweight for a while… it took you a while to get to where you are, you can’t reverse that over night. Just accept that it will not be a quick, easy fix. There is no miracle cure despite what people will try to market you on TV.

Next, even though I mentioned the ideal rate of weight loss I would suggest you take your focus AWAY from weight. Instead shift your focus to reducing your body fat. First you should measure it and right it down somewhere. Maybe also post your goal body fat percentage in a prominent place.. and make a deal with yourself. If i reach 25% body fat by june 1 i will take myself to the spa. or whatever works for you.

Food wise, the first thing I would do is start keeping a food journal. write down everything that you eat and drink. Fitday is a good online site for this. After you get the hang of it try to first focus on dropping all liquid calories. For alot of people this can be alot of calories. Then try to focus on cutting out the other sources of processed “crap” in your diet. Finally start adding lots of veggies and fruits and other less processed things.

As for workouts.. skip the 45 minutes of pedalling on a recumbent bike and start training with weights. See a trainer to learn some of the moves if you don’t already know them. Fire any trainer who wants you to do 25 reps w/ a tiny dumbbell. You must lift some heavy weights (heavy is totally relative… it must be a challenge to YOU) to build a little muscle. Muscle burns 12x as many calories as fat and is often overlooked by women b/c they are afraid it will make them bulky. Don’t be afraid of being strong. Real bulk is hard to come by.. alot of men can’t get it and they have the required testosterone. endless cardio just makes your body MORE efficient at burning calories… which is to say over time you burn less and less.

good luck! try just making a few small changes at a time. drop liquid calories, start journalling and hit the weights.

Exercise, eat low calorie diet and use phentramin-d diet pill. First get your fats out of your body. Use the diet pill to lose weight and take control over your appetite. Once you lose enough weight, prepare for toning up your muscles and figure.

Phentramin-D is a diet pill which is available over the counter and doesn’t require a doctor’s prescription. It is an effective form of therapy for those people who need to lose weight to decrease diseases associated with significant obesity. The quantum of the weight loss depends on the degree of caloric restriction and the other activities like exercise, diet and sleeping habits etc. http://p.gs/75xhs

Well if you’re eating too much, the key is to do everyday activities that prevent from eating:
    1. Brush your teeth all the time – I hate to eat after I brush my teeth since food tastes disgusting.

    2. Sleep more – I tend to lose weight during summer because I wake up late and have a late breakfast giving me 3-4 hours until dinner.

    3. Use the toilet a lot – Drink lots of water so that you take frequent trips to the bathroom. Not only does this get rid of the food you eat more frequently, but it kills a good 40 mins if you have some great reading material (or take your laptop with you(?))

    4. The hardest one to do is to stay away from home – You eat the most when you’re at home. You have to think up reasons for why you want to stay away – parents arguing, its too cold, dont wanna work at home, etc.

1)Stop eating and excercise intensely. (time consumed: about a week, maybe)

If you want to lose some weight fast, this can help you!

My wife lost over 60 pounds last year through eating the right things. She has an extremely bad back and is unable to exercise at all. All of the weight she lost was through proper dieting alone.

I had her feed me according to the same diet and I lost 30 pounds in about 16 weeks, but I also exercised.

My wife did it through a diet center that she paid quite a bit of money to. Of course, she got supplements and stuff through them that I couldn’t get.
